As part of the process of revising the SNPA/DB 2014, the Executive Secretariat of the National Environment Council for Sustainable Development (SE/CNEDD) has undertaken preparatory work with the financial support of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) through the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). This work consisted in: i) analyzing the SNPA/DB 2014, ii) identifying its shortcomings in relation to the CMB and iii) making proposals for national goals and targets.

This document serves as a report of this work and is structured in four (4) parts, namely: the methodology, a reminder on the CBD and the CMB, an overview of the SNPA/DB 2014 edition and the definition of national goals and targets.
