This document is the revised version of the National Environment Plan for Sustainable Development in Niger (PNEDD) after enrichment by the National Forum held from 20 to 22 April 1998 in Niamey. It is the result of a long process that led the team of the Executive Secretariat of the National Environment Council for Sustainable Development (SE/CNEDD), responsible for its preparation, to carry out several studies and organize working sessions in each of the different regions of the country. A multidisciplinary team of national specialists, in collaboration with SE/CNEDD and with the support of an international consultant, was responsible for its development.
