In accordance with the CBD that it signed and ratified, the Government of Niger has been implementing a strategy and action plan on biological diversity since 1998. It was developed on the basis of an inventory of biological diversity in Niger. Also, the SNPA_DB aimed at three specific objectives broken down through 118 actions and covering the main areas of DB. The implementation of these actions should make it possible to achieve the overall objective of “Preserving the multiple functions of biological diversity and its components for their sustainable use in order to improve the living conditions of households”.
