NGO Noé in Niger
A non-profit association of general interest, Noé's mission is to safeguard biodiversity in France and internationally.
To carry out his mission, Noé deploys programs to conserve endangered species and to preserve and restore natural environments and protected areas. Noé also carries out education and support actions aimed at developing behavioral changes that are more respectful of the environment, by reconnecting humans to nature.
Creation of the association
Noé was founded in 2001 by Arnaud Greth, a veterinarian and biologist by training and former scientific director of WWF-France.
Noé's DNA is characterized by his commitment, his desire to be in action and on the ground, his results-oriented culture, and the search for positive solutions.
At its launch from 2000 to 2005, Noé was incubated by WWF-France, with the support of its director general, Cédric du Monceau, then by La Fondation pour la Nature et l'Homme, with the support of Nicolas Hulot.
Noé's first employee was recruited on 1 April 2004. Then the association grew rapidly.
Noé is aimed at the general public, but also businesses and communities, vectors of change in favor of biodiversity.
