Rural development agents, in particular the technical services of the State, NGOs and sometimes scientists (national or from other countries) who work on biological diversity, feel the need to identify the species they encounter. But very often they lack a practical tool for this identification Faced with numerous requests from interested organizations or persons, the National Institute for Agricultural Research of Niger has ensured the 2nd reedition of the lexicon of plants from Niger by Mr. PEYRE de FABREGUES. Due to the slight changes made, it is entitled Illustrated lexicon of some plants from Niger (3rd edition). These are mainly color photographs of certain species to facilitate better identification because when you have the plant and a local name in the field, checking using the lexicon can confirm with more certainty the identification made.
